I’m Teacher Charity.

Hello! I’m Teacher Charity, and I’ve taught a lot of music students! I work with kids and adults.

I majored in music education with a flute principal at Bob Jones University. Then I moved to Atlanta to teach band, choir, handbells, and general music. In the meantime, I earned my master’s degree in music education from BJU.

I also got an associate’s degree in business and a master’s in elearning & instructional technology. Now I am back in Greenville, SC, teaching flute and designing online self-paced auto-graded music courses at MyMusicality.com.

I’m committed to my students.

I want to hear about your goals. Are you doing this for fun? To play in a school band or at church? To major in music at college? We’ll make a plan and get you there.

I will either find or make the exercises and music that you need. I will also help you find the right instrument and other items you need like a metronome tuner. I will create performance opportunities for you. And I’ll teach you more about music than just playing the notes on the page.

I teach the whole musician.

There’s more to flute than just practicing the next recital piece. Performing is a vital part of music learning, but the flute player needs other skills that will build complete musicianship which, in turn, makes a better performer.
